Rupert Bassadone was born into the vibrant world of events, with his first experiences rooted in the circus run by his family. This unique beginning honed his love for order and flair for juggling, setting the stage for his future career. Today, he wears three distinct hats: he is the founder of Ops People, specialising in system-centric event production; he leads Event Site Design, at the forefront of event surveying and precision site planning; and he is an educator with an online course aimed at teaching event professionals to draw their own site plans. His professional journey formally began in 2006, quickly evolving from food festivals to major exhibitions and outdoor spectacles. Notably, Rupert oversees production and operations at WOMAD Festival under Ops People, while Event Site Design manages their detailed site plans. Alongside a pronounced tech addiction, his career is a testament to creativity, precision, and innovation in the events industry.
