An award-winning master Tentmaker, TentMaster and engineering designer. Rudi Enos is one of the foremost pioneers of portable and permanent tensile fabric structures in the world. Temporary long-span tension membrane structures used for live events require specialist expertise in design, analysis, manufacturing techniques and installation procedures. Only a handful of specialist engineers have this expertise and Rudi has been setting standards and writing the rule book since 1978. With over 40 years’ experience his innovative structures have been used for all types of events; political, cultural, religious, economic, touring and music festivals. In early 2025 he was awarded the Access All Areas Legend Award for outstanding achievements and contributions to the outdoor live events industry.

Rudi established the Guild of TentMasters in 1992 to develop training and qualifications for individuals involved in the design, engineering, fabrication, operations and construction of tensile fabric, membrane roofed temporary demountable structures. He continues to champion individuals to become qualified in their specialist field with their unique type of structure whilst encouraging organisations to embrace the importance of accreditation and adopt the ever-evolving industry compliance. His impact in driving and growing the Guild of TentMasters has been invaluable as a forum for advice, knowledge and education for those individuals seeking better working practices in the TDS industry.
