Kate Chapman
Kate has worked within the sustainability sector for over 20 years – specialising in sport and major events. Her career in sport sustainability started at the Royal Yachting Association where she co-founded The Green Blue environmental programme, and she then went on to work as sustainability lead for the temporary venues at the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. She has subsequently worked with a variety of sports events and organisations including the Association of Tennis Professionals and The Great Run Company to put in place sustainability programmes.
Kate has been working with London Marathon Events since 2013 – at first as an external Sustainability Advisor to the RideLondon cycling event and then as to develop and implement a sustainability strategy across the company. In 2023 Kate joined London Marathon Group permanently as Head of Sustainability, working across LMG’s portfolio of events and its Charitable Foundation to help put London Marathon Group at the forefront of environmental action within sport.
Alongside her work with sport, Kate has worked within the UK B Corp movement since its inception in the UK in 2015. To date she has supported over 130 companies in many different sectors to achieve B Corp certification.
