Jonathan is an experienced Senior Lecturer with a strong background in global higher education and event management. He has delivered educational programs in Qatar ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup and in Barcelona, supporting destination management professionals. He also lectures at Modul University in Vienna and the American Hotel Academy in Romania.
At Manchester Metropolitan University, Jonathan leads the Event Operations and Production theme across undergraduate and postgraduate programs and teaches Sports Event Management. His research focuses on Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) in sport and events, with publications covering topics from futsal to CSR in the meetings industry. He is involved in research projects on the Street Child Cricket World Cup and football community trusts.
With over a decade of experience in sports and community events, corporate events, and festivals, Jonathan collaborates with industry partners and serves on the OnePlan higher education advisory board, driving innovation in event management education.
