Joanna is a CMBE-accredited educator and Senior Lecturer in Events Management at the University of Greenwich, where she leads the International Events Management MA programme. With a deep commitment to accessible education and the sustainable development of the creative and cultural sectors, her teaching and research emphasise inclusive and innovative learning approaches. Her extensive experience spans the events, entertainment, arts, and cultural industries, which she draws upon to enrich her academic practice.

In addition to her role at Greenwich, Joanna serves on the Executive Board of the Association of Event Management Educators (AEME), where she leads the Teaching and Learning Special Interest Group. Through her work with AEME, Joanna actively advocates for improved policy and recognition of Event Management programmes across UK Higher Education, championing initiatives that support the next generation of events professionals.
