Chris Jammer
Chris graduated from Cambridge (Gonville & Caius) in Land Economy in 2017, having been a founding member of Strawberries & Creem Festival in 2014 with friends from university – as well as The Cambridge Club following that, helping to deliver its first ever installment in 2017.
As a queer person of colour, he is a strong and vocal advocate for both BAME and LGBTQ+ communities across the UK. He is a Charity Ambassador for Grief Encounter, an organisation which provides support to bereaved young people, an issue very close to his heart. In recent years, Chris has also worked across the TV and entertainment sectors, which included winning E4’s Shipwrecked 2019. He is also a signed model and multi-genre DJ, playing at both our festivals as well as venues across London.
After an enforced fallow year across the events industry in 2020, Chris helped to secure the backing of Sony Music / Senbla for the business – who have since provided the resources and additional expertise required to scale up both festivals to full-weekend, higher-capacity events. This summer, Chris delivered eye-catching festival partnerships (both digital and on-site activations) with the likes of Doritos, TikTok, ProDirect & Nike and Hennessy. He also spearheaded an industry-leading 'Safe Spaces Now' pledge and campaign, alongside gender equality champions UN Women UK – aiming to tackle sexual harassment across music and events, with signatories such as Emily Eavis (Glastonbury), Ellie Goulding and Anne-Marie, and support from a multitude of other events businesses.
