Barney Wragg
I've spent three decades at the intersection of technology and entertainment—often arriving just before the revolution hits.
In the late '90s at ARM, I helped establish the processor architecture that powered 80% of the world's digital music players. At Universal Music International, I built their digital strategy from zero to €250m+ as the industry figured out what "digital" even meant. At EMI, I led the global team that delivered the industry's first DRM-free downloads with Apple's endorsement and secured pioneering licensing agreements with YouTube and Spotify—growing revenues from £80m to £250m in 18 months.
Since then: CEO roles restructuring and scaling live entertainment businesses (LWE), food robotics ventures (Karakuri), and now avatar concert technology (Unit1Studio), where we're merging live audiences with digital performance in ways that haven't been done before.
