Earthing and lightning protection systems UK Earthing And Lightning Protection

Raiden Industries Hall: N1-N5, Excel London Stand: E15E

Overview Raiden Electric delivers comprehensive Earthing and Lightning Protection solutions designed to safeguard structures and electrical systems from the devastating effects of power surges and lightning strikes. At the core of the system are Raiden’s premium earth rods, which ensure a low-impedance path to ground. Manufactured to strict standards (including BS2874 C101 for copper), these components are built to resist corrosion and mechanical stress, ensuring long-term reliability in environments ranging from residential buildings to telecom sites and factories.

Product Types

  • Solid Copper Earth Rods: Manufactured from high-conductivity, hard-drawn copper. Features roll-threaded ends for superior strength and durability when driven into the ground. Ideal for areas with high moisture or salt content.

  • Stainless Steel Earth Rods: Made from Grade 304 or 316 austenitic steel. Specifically designed to prevent galvanic corrosion when dissimilar metals are buried nearby, offering superior longevity in harsh soil conditions.

  • Lightning Arrestors & Bases: Air termination components designed to intercept lightning strikes. Available in various rod sizes (12” to 36”) and thread sizes (3/8” to 5/8”).

Key Features & Benefits

  • Maximum Safety: Effectively diverts fault currents and lightning surges to the ground, preventing fires and equipment damage.

  • Corrosion Resistance: High-purity copper and stainless steel options ensure performance is maintained over decades, even in aggressive soils.

  • High Mechanical Strength: Roll-threaded rods reduce the risk of chipping during installation and provide a secure connection for couplers and clamps.

  • Versatility: A wide range of sizes and materials to suit different geological conditions and structural requirements.

Applications

  • Structural Protection: Residential homes, high-rise commercial buildings, and warehouses.

  • Industrial Safety: Factories, refineries, and power plants.

  • Telecommunications: Grounding for towers and sensitive transmission equipment.
