It’s the constant that holds everything together when the moving parts start to shift. And life will always shift; events have a way of throwing up challenges you could never script. I’ve lived that reality first-hand, including being one of the very few people to command a Six Nations match played behind closed doors during the Covid pandemic.
That experience, and the three hats I’ve worn across policing, construction H&S and now consultancy, have continued to shape a personal value I have always held tightly: a comittment to lifelong learning.
Every role builds on the last and every challenge teaches you something new about leading people, keeping them safe, and keeping the show on the road.
