Lightpool Luminair Drone Race was produced for the Lightpool Festival of Blackpool in October 2025 showcasing a light covered drones racing about an illuminated course of obstacles in a high speed competition to crown the fastest drone racer. Featuring give it a go and interactive activities from the BDRA, Drone Soccer and the BMFA and top pilots from across the country including the current UK whoop racing champion Dan Carpy. This event combined high speed drone racing, video production and presentation to a live audience and streamed live to youtube.
