EVENT INDUSTRY 'BAFTAS'
The Event Production Awards are the ‘BAFTAs’ for the world of events, recognising the excellence and innovation in today’s industry.
This new awards scheme celebrated the phenomenal work, carried out by each supplier, working within the events sector.
Recognised as the home of the global event industry, British expertise has been involved with projects as far afield as the Olympics in Greece and Beijing, the World Cup in South Africa, countless events in the modern Middle East, the Tour de France, G8 Summits, the list goes on. And that’s not to mention the music tours, designed and defined on these fair isles. It’s an industry we excel at, and one that thoroughly deserves to be lauded and applauded.
Almost 600 people attended the inaugural ceremony. With many industry figures, suppliers, key buyers and big names from the production front line attending. The awards were held at the Hilton Hotel, Park Lane and were hosted by the comedian Mark Steel followed by the Tzars who entertained the audience after the ceremony.
